News from the Principal!

Northwest Lutheran is about to begin its 53rd school year.  As we look to the start of the school year we are excited to see that our enrollment is on the rise and that our teachers are eager to begin a new school year.  The first day of school brings with it great excitment for teachers, students and parents.  Each group is excited for different reasons but, there is excitement that a new school year is about to begin.

During the summer months there has been a good deal of activity taking place at the school.  We have added a couple of new members to our staff and we welcome them aboard.  Mrs. Pam Taylor has joined our staff as our new first grade teacher.  Mrs. Diane Stanza has joined us and will be serving us as a part-time teachers' aid.  Also joining us, is Mrs. Joyce Klemp who will serve are our afternoon fifth grade homeroom teacher.

We have also move a number of staff members to new teaching positions.  This move, we believe with strenghten and improve our students' learning.  Mrs. Sherry Voigt who taught upper grade physical education and health will be our new lower grade physical education and health teacher.  Mrs. Hope Krause who taught first grade has been moved up to third grade.  Mr. Jerry Krause who was our thrid grade teacher has been up to sixth grade.  Mr. Kyle Jagler who taught fifth grade has exchanged grades with Mrs. Janice Atkinson who was our morning seventh grade homeroom teacher.  Thus, Mr. Kyle Jagler with be a full time teacher in the upper grades sharing departmental teaching duties with Mr. Jerry Krause and Miss Michele Mente.  Mrs. Janice Atkinson with be sharing fifth grade teaching responsibilities with Mrs. Joyce Klemp.

We have remodeled and repaired our four major bathrooms.  We repaved our parking lot playground area.  We have improved our computer lab by converting our stationary lab to a mobile lab unit and by adding wireless connection to our building.

We at Northwest Lutheran are very proud of our school.  We invite you to visit with us if you have a chance.  To set up an appointment to visit our school and to meet with me personally just call our school office at 414-463-4040.  For information about enrollment please the same phone number listed above.
