Next week we will have our final exams. Our spelling final exam will consist of 50 spelling words we have had over the past trimester. Please review these words with your child nightly. We also will have a final exam next week in vocabulary, grammar, reading, and math.
Next week we will also be starting our 4th theme in reading. These stories will all focus on animals that are amazing. In math next week we will be continuing to work adding needing regrouping. We also are will be introducing our minus four facts. Next week we will have a fact test and a written assessment.
Next week at Northwest (2/20) is spirit week!!! We will have special dress up days next week. The list below tells each days activitiy.
Monday: Pajama day
Tuesday: Class color day: Our color is pink
Wednesday: Dress to impress day. Please no jeans that day
Thursday: Blue and white day.
Friday: No school
On Monday March 5th, we will be having our Black History Month presentation. Each class will be doing a short presentation for our families. This presentation will begin at 7pm.
My name is Cheryl Lewerenz, and this is my second year here at Northwest. I am very excited to be teaching second grade this year. I graduated in 2008 from Concordia University Wisconsin. I have lived in Milwaukee my entire life. I attend church at Mt. Olive Lutheran. I have been going to church there since I was 7 years old.
When I am not busy working on school stuff I like to spend time with my family or friends. I absolutely love animals, and have two dogs and a guinea pig. I look forward to getting to know you and your child this school year..
