Principal Mr. Wallinger

I am Dennis Wallinger, Principal at Northwest Lutheran School.  I was born and raised in the Detroit, MI area where he attended grade school at Hosanna tabor Lutheran Church and School.  I graduated from Lutheran High School West in Detroit in 1967.  I attended Concordia Junior College in Ann Arbor MI from 1967 to 1969 and received my Associate of Arts degree.  I then transferred to Concordia Teachers College in River Forest, IL; now know as Concordia University Chicago.  There I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree as a teacher majoring in elementary education with an emphasis in Bible and Doctrine.  I later earned a Master of Science degree from Concordia University Wisconsin.

I am married to Pat (Tiarks) and we have two sons, Paul and Timothy.  Paul is married to Ondine and Tim is married to Rebecca.  My wife and I have been blessed with three grandchildren, Payton, Owen and Tyler.

I enjoy sharing the Gospel message of salvation with children, playing and spending time with my grandchildren, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, traveling and spending time in God’s great outdoors.

Prior to coming to Northwest Lutheran I served at St. Andrews Lutheran in Park Ridge, IL from 1972 to 1977.  There I served as 4th and 6th grade teacher and Minister of Youth and Education.  In July of 1977 I accepted a call to Covenent to serve as Director of Christian Education in charge of children, youth, young adult and family ministry and coordinated the congregational educational programs.  I also served on a number of youth and education committees in the South Wisconsin District and on the national level.
